Day 25: A fabulous day of family fun

2pm and 3.10pm –  Upswing bring you Between the  Stacks @ Finsbury Library

An interactive and immersive circus theatre performance for families with young children. Created specifically for Word2016, this accessible and fun family activity draws inspiration from Upswing’s critically acclaimed show Bedtime Stories.

A soft play area of mattresses, pillows, quilts and soft toys, reminiscent of a child’s bedroom set the scene for an adventurous journey into acrobatics and storytelling.

Families will be invited to take off their shoes and learn tricks and games with the two characters show the before getting into bed and taking part in a magical adventure through the library stacks. Suitable for children aged 2-6 Book Here

2-5pm Illustrate Yourself in a 3D Scene – Family Workshop @ House of Illustration

Illustrate your own family 3D scene in a box to take home, with author illustrator Claire Alexander. Inspired by her new book ‘The Best Bit of Daddy’s Day’, Claire will host an afternoon of fun, family activities where you will explore the ‘best bits’ of your days together and illustrate them with a twist. Claire will also reveal her book making process and show you how to draw picture book characters. Adults £7 (£5 conc) Children £4
